What is FFIND?
FFIND “Finding Friends & Individuals with Needs & Disabilities” is our outreach ministry dedicated to reaching individuals with disabilities and their families. Our mission is to create a place where friendships grow, relationships are built, and every person is valued. We offer a comfortable, home-like environment that encourages and supports your loved ones with disabilities while also providing opportunities for families to connect and grow together.
Bimonthly Events
Every other month, Berlin First Baptist hosts special events designed to bring individuals and families together in a safe and welcoming space. These gatherings include sharing a meal, pairing participants with caring buddies, providing fun activities, building lasting friendships, and celebrating birthdays in a big way.
Faithful Friends
On Wednesday evenings, FFIND offers Faithful Friends, a weekly youth group for individuals with disabilities, from 6th grade through age 99! Each week includes faith-building lessons using the AWANA Brite curriculum, along with food, fun, and fellowship. Parents are welcome to join the class, drop off their loved one, or enjoy fellowship in the balcony while the group meets.
Sensory Friendly VBS
Why do we offer a unique VBS experience for individuals with needs and disabilities? Rather than asking participants to adapt to a traditional VBS structure, we intentionally create a safe, supportive environment where every individual, from preschool through adulthood, can participate fully, experience God’s love, and truly belong. The purpose is not to separate participants from traditional VBS, but to provide a place where they can fully thrive.
